THUNDERDOME! A head-to-head Zwift KOM-battle in support of Community Care!

When was it?

6:00pm Saturday 24 November

What was it?

A virtual KOM competition on Zwift to raise money for Community Care PLUS a bonus bike raffle. Here’s how it’s going to happen:

1) Choose your competitor and challenge him or her in a head-to-head KOM battle

2) Place a wager, in the form of a donation to Community Cares. [Minimum buy-in: $15]

3) The loser of the head-to-head battle matches the wager and pays the entire donation amount ($15 x 2 = $30)

4) For every $15 donated, you will receive 1 ticket into our annual Christmas bike draw for Community Care. [Both riders get one ticket for every $15 regardless of who wins or loses the battle. Draw in January 2019.]

Not interested in taking on the KOM challenge? Tickets for the bike draw may also be purchased separately for $15 each or 3 for $40. All proceeds go to Community Care (St.Catharines-Thorold). [Draw takes place Friday 11 January 2019.]

Specialized Turbo Electric Lunch Ride (Sept 2018)

Specialized Turbo bikes are so fun that you won’t want your ride to end! That was definitely the case on our September 2018 Wine, Dine, and Ride event. We will do it all again next fall. Join us! In the meantime, drop into Liberty! Bicycles and take a Turbo for a spin. Create your own adventure.

We wanted to demonstrate all the fun that could be had with a Specialized Turbo electric-assist bike. So, charged-up, we took a group of people out for a ride among the vines and back-roads of Niagara in the fall. The main stipulations were that participants needed to dress casually, and also be prepared for a good time. It was not complicated. We arrange a tour that was relaxed, historically significant, and beautiful. And, everyone loved it. In fact, no one wanted it to end. We rode, smiled, talked, and let the bikes provide an electric tail-wind that kept us all laughing right through lunch and into the final stretch. We all agreed that it was a perfect day, and we made plans to do it again soon.
